Good morning sunshine

We’ve had some lovely sunrises there in west Wales lately… isn’t is great to wake up to a beautiful start to the day?

  1. Lovely! Did you freeze to death out there waiting for the light? Or did you stay snug and take the photos from inside?

    • I was outside, but taking advantage of shawls and fingerless mittens… they were all taken on the morning trip to release the chickens!

      • Ah, the joys of rugging up in the winter. I sort of miss it. But only sort of. Now, hats are chose for their shade value rather than their ear-warming value. I hope the chickens appreciated your sartorial splendour, especially if you were wearing that gorgeous new shawl.

  2. When my daughter was small, we used to live in a tiny cottage on the cliffs at Aberarth and, when I look back at the photos of that time, they’re nearly all of the sunset, as we faced west over Cardigan Bay – I don’t think we ever had a sunset the same, and are still blessed at living only half a mile from the sea, and so still enjoy that beauty 🙂

It’s amazing to me that people don’t take the time to enjoy this natural, and free, beauty more than they do 🙂

    • The sunrises recently here have been fabulous. Unfortunately houses tend to obscure the sunsets for us. I used to live on the sea front in Aberystwyth and witnessed some truly spectacular sunsets from there… captured on old fashioned photos very occasionally, but better enjoyed in the moment..
