The post this morning was very special: the first square arrived for my masterpiece… so soon. What a lovely warm feeling I got inside.
This one is from Jennie, who attended one of my introduction to permaculture courses in 2012. As you can see from what she wrote, she thought about several of the principles used in permaculture design as she made her square.
I love the colours in this square and the thought that has gone into it. Thank you Jennie!
Remember, though, you don’t have to know anything about permaculture to join in… just tell me what it is about my blog, writing, teaching or our friendship that inspired you to contribute and why you chose the yarn, design or colours. And if you can’t knit or crochet, then just write something (by hand) for me to put in my scrapbook!
I’ve also added two of my own squares to the Masterpiece page today.

Can you point me in the right direction? ๐

/ December 24, 2013You’ve got quite a haul already, haven’t you. This masterpiece is going to be a monster book/document. Perhaps you should hold some squares back and make the masterpiece functional as well as documentary, by sewing them into a fabulous blankie for cold winter nights. I love the idea that my Australian wool might one day help to keep you warm! Have a wonderful Christmas, stay well and warm, and I’ll look forward to reading more from you soon.

/ December 24, 2013All the squares will be turned into a blanket (possibly two at this rate) and their photos will go in the scrapbook.
I hope you have a lovely time with your family this Christmas… I’m green with envy at the thought of you eating your Christmas dinner outdoors on your newly laid patio, sitting on your newly covered chairs and admiring all those wonderful plants. We will be huddled together in front of the fire, probably with a bottle of something sparkly!
Happy Christmas and many thanks for becoming such a good friend in such a short time x

/ December 26, 2013I did November NaBloPoMo and found the pressure a bit much, but it has encouraged me to post much more than usual in December (just not every day). Hope you are enjoying writing each day

/ December 26, 2013It is a pressure but a positive one I guess..it makes you push your frontiers and get creative and ‘doing’ things rather than just getting ideas and doing nothing about it.
I plan to ease off a bit after Dec …that’s 60 days (nov and dec nablopomo) of blogging non-stop everyday ! maybe I missed three days but made up with more posts next day.
I wanted to do this, so that I could get my blog up to date with the stuff I created all these years. But it is no where near that even after 60 days of posting everyday…because I keep getting distracted with newer ideas ๐ will stop my rant now.
