Jacob’s hoody

I wasn’t going to post today as I’m working on my Masterpiece scrapbook (photos in a later post), but I have started a new knitting project that I just wanted to share. For years I have been wearing three fleece tops (no, not all at the same time) that I bought in New Hampshire. Sadly, I’ve recently noticed that they are going bald… yes I have actually worn them out! So, I thought that I would knit myself a lovely warm hoody out of British yarn. I selected Jacob wool from Blacker yarns and  one of their patterns that uses two strands of wool together to give a tweed effect. I’m really pleased with it so far:

  6. And what’s wrong with wearing three fleeces simultaneously? I’m actually half the size most people think I am 😉

Love the colours of the new hoody. All these posts of yours really do make me wish I’d persevered with my knitting lessons years ago.

    • I’m currently teaching Jon to knit as he really wants to contribute to the blanket, but I had honestly forgotten how hard it is to start with. My mum taught me when I was about 10 so it’s a long time ago and I don’t think I have ever taught anyone to knit in all that time. I’m just glad I can do it. However, having said that, I did teach myself to crochet just over a year ago, so it’s never too late!

  7. I love Jacob sheep and used to have some in my paddock. They belonged to a friend and they all had lovely names. I love the mottled effect of this special wool and I think you will have such a special hoodie.
