I’ve now completed my submissions for the woollen woods project. All are made out of oddments of British wool. I decided to focus on the sort of things most people wouldn’t choose to make, so we have two lichens and a cluster of bracket fungi:
Now. I just need to fill in the submission form and send them off. I’d love to know if anyone else is planning to contribute.

/ March 5, 2014I especially love the bracket fungus. I was going to submit to this last year but ran out of time – I’ve noticed that this year’s deadline is looming fast. I would really like to create a needlefelted project – I’ll see if I can organise my time over the next few weeks!

/ March 5, 2014I’m really pleased to have managed to create something before the deadline… just want to do something for the Manchester hyperbolic coral reef now!

/ March 5, 2014I particularly like the bracket fungus. The deadline is working against me, since anything I sent would take 10-14 days to get there, and besides, I have no idea what I would make. If they do it again next year, how about leading another international contribution, but with plenty of lead time?

/ March 5, 2014Great idea, Kate! After Easter, I am going to start a project to support the charity I am a Trustee for with the aim of creating some items to raffle off to raise funds, but also to develop community participation… more details soon!

/ March 5, 2014Goodoh, count me in. I don’t think my crochet is up to much, but I’d like to try a spot of felting.
