/ May 14, 2014Mr SoH has been busy! How frustrating for the Girls to be efficiently contained. Their namesakes would NOT respond well – I could see The Gate going up in a puff of smoke!

/ May 14, 2014We’re really pleased, but the girls, as you say, are unimpressed… especially now we’ve clipped Lorna’s wings and she can no longer fly up onto the fruit cage, walk across the top and dive down into the vegetables!

/ May 14, 2014Very clever. Your chooks are obviously more cultivate than mine. If it wasn’t for the gaping jaws of Earl on the other side of the fence/gate, our chooks would have moved into the house by now. They bypass gates, fences, 2 metre tall external perimeter fences…they are ninjas of the poultry arts and I am afraid from them…

/ May 14, 2014I had to laugh while reading Palletgate – it was sooo reminiscent of Bob’s attempts at gate-making, that I almost felt like I was watching his last attempt at it! 🙂
Nowadays if we need something like this, we go to a dear friend who made Bob solemnly promise he wouldn’t pick up a hammer again, and would ask said friend to do the tricky stuff! For a man who’s a whizz with a chainsaw, you’d not believe the pain he can inflict on himself with a hammer or screwdriver! Lol
