Ocean colour socks

Because of three false starts, last month’s Prize Winning Pumpkin socks are not finished and this month’s sock yarn from Burrow and Soar has already arrived. In addition to the yarn this timeย (destined to be knitted into a pair of socks for Mr Snail), there were some beautiful sea-themed stitch markers and a bag of rock…

Happy days!

  1. Oh-oh! Blue alert!! Lucky Mr Snail!! And you have just given me such a good idea – I have a bag full of unused stretchy elastic ties – stitch markers here we come!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Mr Snail will soon have very cosy feet. What exactly do you use those very pretty stitch markers for? (Shows her abysmal ignorance of the fine art of knitting….)

    • I use them when knitting socks to mark the places to increase/decrease and the beginning/end of the round. Those who knit fancy lacy shawls use them to mark pattern repeats or at regular intervals. They are really handy when knitting in the round or over large numbers of stitches.

  3. What beautiful blues, it must be driving you crazy if your are waiting until you have finished your WIP before casting on this lovely yarn!

  4. Beautiful colour!

  5. I envy Mr Snail of Happiness his blue socks, even before they’ve been made ๐Ÿ™‚
What a gorgeous colour . . . and the stitch markers and rock aren’t to be sneezed at, either! ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Yarn + bonuses sounds like the perfect balance to me ๐Ÿ™‚
