A couple of good yarns

Do you enjoy a good yarn? Then this is the blog post for you…

To celebrate a month of writing and knitting, Mr Snail and I are having a little give-away. For your delight and delectation we have a package of two sorts of yarn to send anywhere in the world…

First there’s Mr Snail’s book Kirkenes Blue: a gripping yarn of intrigue and deceit under the beauty of the Northern Lights. And then there’s a ball of fabulous self-patterning 4 ply yarn. There’s 100g in the ball which is plenty to make a pair of socks or some lacy item and it’s 75% Merino wool so is lovely and soft, but with 25% synthetic fibre to make it hard wearing.

Both these yarns could be yours!

If you want a chance to win this pair of yarns, simply leave a comment below; and if you want to double your chances, head over to Mr Snail’s blog and leave a comment on his post about this give-away too.

We will send the package anywhere in the world and all comments left before the end of Sunday 6 December (UK time) will be included in the draw.

Good luck!

  8. Oh geeshe, how can I not enter when purple is my favorite color (and there’s so much of it in that skein)?! I only recently learned from a friend that yarn is also used to refer to storytelling and it blew my mind. XD

Thank you so much for doing a giveaway! Good luck to everyone. ❤

  13. Having only recently come back to the blogging world and stumbled across yours a couple of weeks ago (I think it was) and now to discover your husband blogs too… I’m enjoying all the stories you throw out here.
If I was to put my hand up and say ‘yes please’ to the wool I think I’d pass it onto my mum. I’ve been trying to encourage her to go to the library in the city where they have a weekly knit and natter session. My mum used to knit a lot! Having persuaded her to go (she was quite excited) dad has invited friends round to lunch on that day so she’ll be at entertaining guests instead of clattering those needles. Her life is revolved around my dad and taking him to and from hospitals in Southampton, Basingstoke and The Marsden in London.
Perhaps i should buy the book for my dad then he can sit and read it whilst mum knits and natters another week. 😉

  17. Well done Jan on completing the month of knitting and well done to Jon for NaNoWriMo. As I said to him, aren’t the prizes meant to go to you rather than from you for this achievement? Well done to you both, I hope Jon has the basis for his next book now.

Wow how busy you have both been! I am about to embark on my first pair of socks. I tried many years ago & failed. This time it’s watch out socks. I’m older, wiser (hopefully) & on a mission. I won’t be beaten this time! If I get really stuck, may I give you a shout? Where did you manage to find such lovely sock yarn? Wonderful giveaway & a very generous one!

  25. What luck! Am using some early morning downtime to try and catch up with some of my favourite blogs and find an instant reward! My Mum and I love mysteries and knitting. If I win, I will share the book with her and will make her a pair of socks with the other yarn. An original phrase to describe storytelling was “to spin a yarn”, as a good storyteller could draw out the tale for a long time. Mum and I love wordplay, too. I wish everyone who enters lots of luck; the yarns will find their way to the perfect home. ❤
