Friday fail…

… well, not so much a fail as an unfinished object that I would have liked to have finished…

We are going to a wedding next week and I wanted to make myself a cardigan to wear. Unfortunately, I got fixated on a pattern worked in lace weight yarn. In all honesty, I knew that I did not have time to make it, but I still tried.

It’s a simple pattern, but will (eventually) have an edging of lots and lots of crochet flowers. So far I’m still on the second of the sleeve/body pieces. Ah well, it will be lovely when it’s finished and I’ll just have to wear a cardigan I already have.

Here it is so far…

  6. Why do we do these deadline things to ourselves…? It will be lovely when it’s done, but at least now you can relax and enjoy the process of creation instead of slaving away madly.

What lovely colors! And an edging of crochet flowers? Can’t wait to see it 🙂 Maybe it was good to have the self-imposed deadline removed so you can continue on without anxiety.

  9. I am sure it will be worth the wait. I love these colours – what yarn are you using?

    • Unusually for me it’s a non-British wool. It’s Isager Highland Wool, which is from Peru, although the company itself is Danish. I really loved the available colours, and the yarn was just the right gauge for the pattern I wanted to use.

It looks lovely. I’ve been after thin jumpers/cardies for ages, just can’t find many in the charity shops
