This is my weekly post as I work through the yarn in my “collection” (not stash – thank you Sue) . It’s been a busy week, so there hasn’t been as much knitting and crochet as usual. There have been only two projects this week. The first I can’t show you because it is a surprise gift that has not arrived at its destination yet, and the second is a turtle… currently very much a work in progress:
Just one flipper to go
Both of this week’s projects used yarn that I already owned, so the collection is very slowly getting smaller. The turtle is worked in Cambrian Mountains Wool and is beautifully soft – I plan to fill it with 100% wool stuffing so that it will be made entirely from natural fibres.

/ October 18, 2017The worst thing about committing to a certain output is that life has a horrible habit of getting in the way! I’ve had no chance to do anything creative for the past 5 days, but I’m still managing to have fun with big motorbikes and old friends 🙂

/ October 18, 2017It has been wet for us every single day so far… Tomorrow we have to set up the tent and camp for two nights, and yes, rain is forecast…Bad weather for photos, but I did manage to get some gorgeous ones of the jacarandas in Grafton, in full purple bloom. Maybe a post about that soon… Happy days.

/ October 18, 2017The turtle is going to a baby – it’s unusual to be able to use wool for a baby, most people insist on acrylic, but the recipient is happy to have wool and I’m delighted.

Thanks for the reminder that I forgot to take pictures of the squares I made for this months charity quilt. Hand embroidery going slow and not much else being completed. I’ve still got around five projects on the go at once – I started a new one today, despite knowing I’ve got too many on the go already, but I just haven’t been able to resist any of them since I got my CroJo back 🙂
