First, a bit of yarn storming. Welsh cob and adjacent bench in Aberaeron. Complete with strategically placed pompoms!
Second, sending a gift (I didn’t have to sit on this one!)
I hope this will make the recipient smile too
Third, cheese… lots of cheese… that we made!

/ October 19, 2017What an amazing 3 things – all impressive – but the cheese! Wow! I’m especially impressed with that. When i was 14 and thinking of what career to go into I asked my Dad (a dairy farmer) if I could make cheese from his milk, thinking of becoming a cheese maker – just one more thing that made my parents think me weird! Not such a weird idea now Dad! 😉

/ October 19, 2017That is a lot of cheese, I can see a production line and a new career is in the offing. I love the yarn bombing and I am sure the parcel will be warmly received. I am grateful for new friends and old ones this week , and the fellow who invented selotape. Where would we be without it.

Yarn storming is a much better phrase, I never liked yarn ‘bombing’, but I couldn’t think of another way to say it. I shall adopt that if it’s okay 🙂
This week I’m smiling because I rediscovered how much fun papier mache is, I made a new friend at work, and I found a crochet pattern I really like for little bunny ears

I try never to use ‘yarn bombing’, but sadly it does seem to have become the standard phrase. I think ‘yarn storming’ is the term used by Deadly Knitshade and the Knit London group, but I’m not certain.

/ October 19, 2017This was a different supplier, but much further away so far from ideal. I’m trying to sort out the issues with my original supplier, but he’s very nervous about potential problems. I think we can resolve this by pasteurising the milk (the Food Centre have the facilities) before we make any big batches, but I need to reassure him, so I’m taking things slowly!
