Working Wednesday #9

This is my weekly post as I work through the yarn in my “collection” (not stash – thank you Sue). This week it’s only Sophie:

I have also started to put a bit of my stash into the secret Santa basket… I’m not going to photograph it, because I want it to be a surprise for the recipient. I can say, though, that it’s pure British wool.

So, that’s my progress this week. Have you completed any projects? Are you working on anything interesting?

  1. I really like your Sophie. I am secret santa knitting at the moment, some rather fetching gloves.

  3. I can’t believe the speed you’re working at. Sophie seems to double in size every time I see her!

  6. You are inspiring me to pick up the crochet hook again – though I do wonder if I have the patience for a Sophie! I’ve just sorted and wrapped all my Secret Santa gifts, it is such fun to do isn’t it – and such a great way to share round those unused skeins of yarn!

    • I have to admit that I did wonder how I would feel about making a commitment to such a big project and whether I’d get bored, but I’m rather enjoying it and the rounds are so varied that it certainly isn’t dull!

  7. Plenty of Stitching Santa making going on here, too! I’ve also put some British wool in my parcel, but have gone one better as it’s produced in our very village!

  9. You are the first of my online friends to create a Sophie and I’m going to enjoy watching her grow. I have her in my Ravelry library, but won’t likely get to her until lat 2019. So lovely! I did laugh at the Freudian slip, I’m afraid; thanks for the chuckle. Have a great week! ~ Linne

    • For the first time last night I got stuck with Sophie! In the end I had to look at an online tutorial and then I was fine. It’s funny sometimes how you just can’t understand an instruction, but when you see it done, it’s so obvious.
Right… back to expanding Sophie and my waistline now!!!!
