This is my weekly post as I work through the yarn in my “collection” (not stash – thank you Sue). This week it’s only Sophie:
I have also started to put a bit of my stash into the secret Santa basket… I’m not going to photograph it, because I want it to be a surprise for the recipient. I can say, though, that it’s pure British wool.
So, that’s my progress this week. Have you completed any projects? Are you working on anything interesting?

/ November 22, 2017I really like your Sophie. I am secret santa knitting at the moment, some rather fetching gloves.

/ November 22, 2017I can’t believe the speed you’re working at. Sophie seems to double in size every time I see her!

/ November 22, 2017It’s indicative of the abysmal weather… I just stay indoors an crochet. I may be the size of Wales by the spring!

/ November 22, 2017It was supposed to say ‘She’, but it probably applies to me too… especially since I can’t go swimming at the moment (boiler broken at the pool) so I’m not getting as much exercise as usual.

/ November 22, 2017I’m quite enjoying creating the different patterns – there aren’t any new stitches, but the old familiars are used in some interesting ways.

/ November 22, 2017Like the edging – it looks very effective. Currently working on a Christmas frock myself!

/ November 22, 2017You are inspiring me to pick up the crochet hook again – though I do wonder if I have the patience for a Sophie! I’ve just sorted and wrapped all my Secret Santa gifts, it is such fun to do isn’t it – and such a great way to share round those unused skeins of yarn!

/ November 22, 2017I have to admit that I did wonder how I would feel about making a commitment to such a big project and whether I’d get bored, but I’m rather enjoying it and the rounds are so varied that it certainly isn’t dull!

/ November 23, 2017Plenty of Stitching Santa making going on here, too! I’ve also put some British wool in my parcel, but have gone one better as it’s produced in our very village!

/ November 27, 2017You are the first of my online friends to create a Sophie and I’m going to enjoy watching her grow. I have her in my Ravelry library, but won’t likely get to her until lat 2019. So lovely! I did laugh at the Freudian slip, I’m afraid; thanks for the chuckle. Have a great week! ~ Linne

/ November 27, 2017For the first time last night I got stuck with Sophie! In the end I had to look at an online tutorial and then I was fine. It’s funny sometimes how you just can’t understand an instruction, but when you see it done, it’s so obvious.
Right… back to expanding Sophie and my waistline now!!!!
