This is my weekly post as I work through the yarn in my “collection” (not stash – thank you Sue). This week there has only been Sophie:
I’ve completed round 76, which means I’ve got 37 more to do (I originally thought there were more than 120, but unless I want to make it bigger, it’s actually 113). I’m determined to get it finished before the end of the year.
So, that’s my progress this week. What have you been up to?

/ December 6, 2017I can’t believe you had such a wonderful collection of wool which has gone to make this wonderful Sophie. Love it Jan. As for me pink hat for my secret santa lady finished, lavender sachet half made and getting excited to be making a baby toy next! Easy pleased, me.

/ December 6, 2017Well, I had actually bought some of this wool with Sophie in mind to complement some that I already had. Originally I was going to use only Cambrian Mountains wool (which I had quite a bit of left over from another project), but I decided that I didn’t really like all the colours together, so I only used some of it.
I have to say that most of my ‘stash’ was bought with specific projects in mind, however, I then decide I don’t like the pattern or just don’t want the particular item/garment any more and it seems to become general ‘stash’. Focusing on using what I have has turned out to be rather nice… although I’ve had to unsubscribe from emails from lots of wool shops!!!

I’m relieved to have finished the block for Kate’s “Signed, Tealed and Delivered” quilt and today I’m sitting in front of the fire sewing together the squares of the crocheted blanket for Master R. I’ll be so glad when this project is finished!!!!

I am finishing a jumper for my daughter using the pattern I made from the one Rose brought back from Brazil. And last night I was given a bag of yarn and another of finished crochet squares to use up. No rest for the wicked huh?

/ December 6, 2017Wow, Sophie gets better and better. So impressed. As for me – working through ‘The Big ‘F’. Forest/forage/food garden design. As I’m hoping to present it as a film, there is lots more planning and drawings than in other designs. Will help with the word count though… Hehe!
